Virginia Beach Cup

Fun Times at Virginia Beach!

What a week at the PPA Cup in Virginia Beach! The competition was fierce, the humidity was next-level, and the energy was amazing from start to finish.

In singles, I battled hard but came up short against Christopher Haworth, who ended up taking home the title! Huge congrats to him, he played some incredible pickleball.

In mixed doubles, Callie and I gave it our all in a tough match against Vivienne David and Hunter Johnson, but they were just too sharp that day. Still, every point felt like a highlight reel!

Then in men’s doubles, I teamed up with Matt Wright, and we made a great run all the way to the semifinals beating the number 2 seed in quarters. Unfortunately, in the semis, we had no answers against a very strong team that ened up losing in finals. We were pumped about our bronze medal match, but the weather had other plans — rain came in and we had to split the bronze. Gotta love those unpredictable beach vibes!

Now, off the court, Virginia Beach was awesome, definitely what I had imagined. The town was pretty quiet this time of year, but that made it even more relaxing. We found a few local spots to eat that were absolute gems (seriously, I might come back just for the seafood).

Now it’s time for a little recovery and prep, so you guys will see me a lot at Tap N Paddle this week. I’ve got a week off before heading to the PPA Vegas Cup! I’m planning to play all three events again, and my body’s feeling great.

Private Lesson Opportunities:
I’ll be doing a limited number of private lessons this week while I’m home before Vegas. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your singles game, improve your doubles strategy, or just take your game to the next level — now’s your chance!

If you’re interested, let’s connect and find a time that works for us.

If you’re in the Vegas area and want to come and cheer for us, I get two free tickets per day, so if you’re planning on coming, shoot me a message!

Appreciate all the support! you guys keep me motivated every tournament. See you soon under those bright Vegas lights!

JW Marriott Resort Update!

We had two last-minute cancellations for our upcoming trip, but the good news is, our alternates jumped right in, and the group is full again!

However… there’s an exciting opportunity for someone! The original couple had already booked a room at the JW Marriott Resort, and that reservation is now available.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, this is your chance to snag a discounted room at one of the nicest resorts around from November 12th–16th. The place is absolutely beautiful, with amazing pools, great dining, and perfect vibes for both relaxation and pickleball fun! As mentioned the camp is full but you would still have access to the courts and the activities at the resort.

These rooms don’t open up often, so if you’re even considering it, reach out ASAP for details!

Tip of the day!

“Master your game by putting targets on the court. The goal isn’t just to hit a great shot, it’s to be able to replicate great shots consistently. Repetition is everything, so pick a specific shot, set a target, and drill it until it feels second nature. The best players in the world don’t rely on luck, they master their strengths and isolate their weaknesses.”
