Hi Beautiful People!

Celebrating the100th PPA tournament of the PPA Tour !

This was quite something! But before diving into my World Championships recap, I want to start with the final Major League Pickleball event of the year!

The MLP finale in Dallas closed out an incredible season with the Miami Pickleball Club, a team I’ve truly enjoyed competing with this year. The energy, camaraderie, and passion within the club have made every moment memorable.

For this last event, I played alongside Juan Benitez and Tammy Emrich. We fought hard, stayed connected, and competed with heart from start to finish. Even though the results didn’t go our way, I’m proud of how we represented our team and the spirit we brought to the court.

Now the real question is will I still represent Miami Pickleball Club next year…

On an International Pickleball Update

On the international side of the sport, as some of you may now, I partially own the franchise in the Canadian Pickleball League (CNPL). The Montreal Lions have won the last two seasons and the league is growing rapidly and has a bright future in expanding the sport across Canada. This is the reason why we have decided to partially sell to find a partner that can dedicate more time during the CNPL events.

If you or anyone you know might be interested in learning more, please feel free to reach out to me directly. I’d love to connect.

This year’s World Championships held special significance as the PPA Tour celebrated its historic 100th tournament.

The energy was electric, and stepping onto the court during such a milestone felt energizing and humbling. I also was blessed to be part of the wheelchair clinic event that the PPA hosted! I had done a similar one in Lima, Perú but again spending time with those athletes is truly inspiring.

Men’s Singles Quarterfinal Run

I opened singles with a strong win over in round of 32 #9 Michael Loyd, taking the match 12–10, 11–6.

I then followed it up by beating Alex Crum, 11-7, 11-5 who had beaten Ben Johns.

In the quarterfinals, I battled against Connor Garnett in a physical, intense three-set match. Our head to head is 5-3 for him now. I gotta keep working and find a way to level that up. Haha

Even though I didn’t advance, I’m proud of how I competed and the level I brought to the court and look forward to Lakeland Open. After my surgery, I debated on playing singles again but I am now fully committed to get back to the top 5. I am now ranked #21, and I will try to finish the year in top 16, baby steps…

Mixed Doubles Fighting to the Final Point

In mixed doubles, I partnered with Allyce Jones, I enjoy playing with her. Unfortunately, after winning our first round, we played a tight, hard-fought match against Max Freeman and Lea Jensen. We left everything on the court, we had a considerable lead in the third game but Max played extremely well to steal the match from us. Although the result didn’t fall our way, the effort and teamwork were something to be proud of.

I will be playing Lakeland with Jackie Kawamoto and my ranking is #16. The ultimate goal here is to be back top 10.

Men’s Doubles A Competitive Quarterfinal

In men’s doubles, I teamed up with Riley Newman again. Riley and I this year have reached quarters or better every tournament, and this time our quarterfinal was against Ben Johns and Gabe Tardio. Last time, we had played them in Bristol it went three and this time the same happened! High-level points, strategy, and intensity from the start, which led us to win the first game and have a brief lead in the second game. But we eventually came up just short, but the level was strong and the fight was there. We are getting closer and closer.

I will be playing Lakeland with Jaume Vich Martinez and try to finish the year top 10. I am currently ranked #13.

Looking Ahead

As we move toward the end of the season, I’m feeling motivated, grateful, and excited for what’s ahead. Thank you all for the constant support—you make this journey meaningful every step of the way.

Pickleball Vacation & Clinics

Upcoming Clinics

This week, Callie and I will be hosting the pickleball vacation at the JW Marriott, and we’re really excited for the opportunity to connect with players and help them grow their game. I have also a clinic and some play with the pros at Center Court Pickleball Club in Scottsdale. If you are interested in signing up click the link below and search for private event. You will then find the openings.

Stay tuned for the pickleball vacation in Punta Cana, as soon as the PPA releases the full calendar, we will announce the official date in December 2026.

And looking ahead to December! I will drive to Dallas to run the clinic in McKinney, TX and I will make few stops in Oklahoma, and Arkansas. I’m excited to bring high-level training opportunities to these communities.

Tip of the day!

“If you see your opponents leaning and taking the ball out of the air at the kitchen line, that means they are doing a great job. Throwing a lob once in a while will make them back off and release some pressure on your end”

Jay Devilliers

Finally, I just want to thank all of you for your continued support! It means very much to me. This community is growing because of you, and I’m truly grateful you’re along for the ride.

I’d also love to hear from you! If you have ideas, feedback, or suggestions that could help me improve these updates (or my game), don’t hesitate to share your thoughts. Your input helps me get better and makes this newsletter more valuable for everyone.
